An Evening Star

A star shone on the night sky
Laughed the moon
You tiny little star
Lost in the wilderness of this arch
Look how outshines my light
Replied the star
You may be strong
But you inspire others
I reward those
Those who reach
But reach not the moon
For they aim for the stars
The stars which are further up
Admire I do, your beautiful light
But respect their might
The moon was stunned
Never was she shunned
Quiet she kept
And mournfully slept

In His Arms

In his arms, I lay
Awake…
Gazing into fire
Warm was his breath
Against cold sky
This would inspire
Little did he know
I still loved him so
Forever till eternity
Through the rivers of mystery
Shadows are amongst
But his gaze is firm
I can feel his heart
The spirit within,
Racing for lines
Powerless…
Against the cold shower
Winds making us limp
His strong arms
An arch over my head
Silent tears crept on my cheek
And still holding on
Through the rush of wilderness

The translation for this song which I tried to write poetically is as follows:

As the seasons change
The amber sky crimsons
As the seasons change

In the darkened nights, as I walk the empty streets alone
Everything becomes too much to handle
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens

I have talked to the warm drops of sunlight
I have listened to the laughter of the flowing water
Everyone echoes that the light has died,
But it’s the wick that has slept
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens
As the seasons change

Every artist has heard of love
They have always reached out for their heart’s wishes
Keeping these memories in their heart
They treasure these dreams in their court
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens

Cold and colorless are these droplets
Soft and fragile are these colorful flowers
Bright are the colors she wears
As the bride walks with pride to her new home
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happensAs the seasons change
The amber sky crimsons
As the seasons change

In the darkened nights, as I walk the empty streets alone
Everything becomes too much to handle
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens

I have talked to the warm drops of sunlight
I have listened to the laughter of the flowing water
Everyone echoes that the light has died,
But it’s the wick that has slept
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens
As the seasons change

Every artist has heard of love
They have always reached out for their heart’s wishes
Keeping these memories in their heart
They treasure these dreams in their court
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens

Cold and colorless are these droplets
Soft and fragile are these colorful flowers
Bright are the colors she wears
As the bride walks with pride to her new home
Yes I have felt this happen
Yes I can sense this as it happens

Midsummer’s Eve

The brightest day, the darkest night,
Stars hovering above the skies,
And the moon passing through the clouds,
Her silvery shadows on the lake,

Bonfires bright, in the cool air,
Glazing bright,
Hissing at the wood,
Swaying to the summer wind,

The lively fiddler,
Dancing to his tune,
A hundred couples,
Brides and grooms,
Twirling around the fire,

Celebrating the advent,
Of Midsummer’s Eve!
